MORE COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS

Many ways to move our region forward.

The Quarry Campus

Spokane Conservation District’s evolving campus for conservation and community learning, with UCRCD helping connect project support.

BEHIND THE WORK

The support that helps ideas take root.

We provide a nonprofit home for community-led projects that align with our mission but do not have their own legal entity. Through fiscal sponsorship, UCRCD supports financial administration, grant compliance, and project recordkeeping, helping community groups carry out their work with the administrative support and accountability funders require.

Fiscal sponsorship

We help partners develop grant applications and manage the responsibilities that come with an award. This includes writing and submitting proposals, administering federal, state, and private grants, and preparing required reports. We help partners navigate funding requirements from the initial application through project reporting and closeout.

Grant development

Convening and facilitation

We bring people and organizations together around a shared community need, helping partners identify common goals and the roles each can play. Our support continues beyond the first meeting, with facilitation that helps coalitions stay organized, work through challenges, and keep their shared projects moving forward.

We support the financial work that keeps community projects accountable, including bookkeeping, reimbursement reporting, and the records funders require. By maintaining organized documentation and supporting audit readiness, UCRCD helps project partners track how funds are used and meet the reporting responsibilities that accompany grants and other project support.

Financial management

We help turn a community idea into a practical plan with a defined scope, budget, and timeline. Working with partners, we clarify what the project will accomplish and what it will take to carry it out, creating a foundation that both the project team and potential funders can evaluate.

Long-term fund stewardship

Some community priorities need support that extends beyond a single project or grant cycle. UCRCD helps partners establish and support endowments and permanent funds that sustain that work over time. This connects today’s fundraising efforts with long-term community goals and helps preserve continuity as people and leadership change.
