Upper Columbia Resource Conservation & Development Council (“UCRCD,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of people who visit our website, contact us, volunteer, and support our work.
PRIVACY POLICY
Information We Collect
When you submit a form, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, community, interests, availability, and message. Form submissions are added to UCRCD’s internal database so we can manage inquiries and maintain relevant contact records. Please do not include sensitive personal information or payment-card details in a general contact form.
How We Use Your Information
We use information you provide to respond to questions, coordinate participation, discuss partnerships, manage donations, and maintain organizational records related to your inquiry or involvement.
Submitting a form does not subscribe you to a newsletter. Newsletter subscriptions require a separate opt-in. You may ask us to stop optional communications by contacting us through our Get Involved page.
Confidentiality and Information Sharing
UCRCD treats personal information as confidential. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, or share it with other organizations for their independent marketing.
Information may be accessed by authorized people and service providers as needed to operate our website, manage our internal records, process donations, and respond to your requests. We may also disclose information with your permission or when required by law.
Website and Form Services
Our website and contact forms are provided through Squarespace. Information submitted through these services is processed using Squarespace and the systems connected to our forms and internal database. Squarespace also processes certain visitor information for its own service, security, and operational purposes under its privacy policy.
Online Donations
UCRCD uses Givebutter for online donations. Depending on the information you provide and the donation options you select, UCRCD may receive your name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, donation amount and date, campaign designation, recurring-gift details, and messages or other information submitted with your gift. Transaction records may also include payment-method information, such as the last four digits of a card.
We use donor information to acknowledge gifts, administer donations, maintain financial records, and respond to donor inquiries. Payment information is processed through Givebutter and its payment providers under their applicable policies.
If you choose to display your name, donation amount, or message publicly on a fundraising page, that information may be visible to others. Review the visibility options presented when donating.
Cookies and Technical Information
Squarespace processes technical information associated with website visits, which may include IP addresses, browser and device information, and pages visited. Cookies and similar technologies support website functionality and, depending on enabled settings, website analytics.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings and any cookie controls provided on the website. Restricting cookies may affect some website features. More information is available in Squarespace’s privacy and cookie policies.
Record Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to inquiries, administer programs and donations, maintain appropriate organizational records, and meet applicable legal, tax, accounting, and reporting requirements. Retention periods depend on the type of record and its purpose. Records may need to be retained after a request to end communications.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information and limit access to authorized people and service providers. No website, electronic transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your Questions and Choices
You may contact UCRCD to ask about information you have provided, request corrections, or request deletion where applicable. Some records may need to be retained for legal, accounting, or administrative purposes. Use the contact form on our Get Involved page for privacy questions or requests.
